Site Access

USSC Miami is a resource of sailors locally, nationally and internationally. Except for applicable fees, any sailor within the physical limits and mission of the site may use its facilities.

Non-tenant fees

  • Ramp launching-$15 per day.
  • Hoist launching- $20 per boat/per day under 20 ft $25 per boat/per day over 20 ft

Facility Overview

The US Sailing Center, Miami occupies a waterfront site of approximately 1.7 acres. It currently consists of paved and unpaved dry boat storage areas, a launch ramp, a hoist area with two-three ton hoist on a single pylon and a floating dock adjacent to the bulkhead.

The facility and its equipment are under the supervision of a full-time Manager who performs minor repair and maintenance and engages outside contractors for more extensive work.

Revenue for the operation of the facility is primarily derived from boat storage fees, charter fees for use of center owned powerboats, vending machine sales and site usage fees.

Temporary Storage

Boats participating in event regattas need to sign a temporary lease with the USSC. Please see Pat Downey. His phone number is (305) 854-1058. Please make sure to pay Pat in advance for the entire term of your rental agreement.

Please adhere to the following requests:
1. All U.S. Sailing Team Members must sign a lease. Please note that U.S. Sailing Team Members are only permitted to keep one (1) boat and their boat trailer at site.
2. No cars or vans are permitted within the Center grounds. All cars must be parked outside the Center. Please make sure that all valuables are locked in the trunk or secured. We do not suggest that ANYTHING be left in your cars.
3. No sleeping in cars in the Center. The Center is located in Kennedy Park and closes at sundown.
4. All storage trailers must be stored off the Center grounds and parking lot.
